Services: Interlibrary Loan

The Interlibrary Loan Window in the Van Houten Library
No library has everything, so what should you do if you need a book or journal article that the library does not own? The answer is to request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). The way it works is that you request something through ILL in our library, and the request is submitted to a network of other libraries. A library that owns the item will then send the book, or forward a copy of an article to NJIT, and we will notify you when the material arrives. All ILLs are handled through the Van Houten Library, so you will have to go to the ILL window on the main floor [Find It] to pick up your items.
This library provides interlibrary loan and document delivery for NJIT's students, faculty, and staff only. To request an item, use the online request form available at http://library1.njit.edu/illweb/ill-login.cfm.
Distance Learning students must use the "Library Services Forms for NJIT Distance Learning Students" located at http://eris.njit.edu/address.html.
