Facilities: Computing and Imaging

If your research requires that you use a computer, the Architecture Library can meet your needs. The library maintains a small 14 workstation computing facility, that provides access to the NJIT network and the internet. This lab includes three flatbed scanners, and one slide scanner, and all workstations have Adobe Photoshop. There is also a copy stand for photographic reproduction located next to the map collection.
The PCs run much of the software used in courses, and are connected to printers. Please refer to the policy for computer use in the library http://library.njit.edu/aboutus/policies/computer-use.php for more information on the Information Commons, and the New Accounts homepage http://newaccount.njit.edu if you need to set up an account. Outside users may request a guest login and password to use the computing lab, but the NJIT community has priority at all times. Please refer to the Library Policy For Issuing Guest Computer Accounts http://library.njit.edu/aboutus/policies/computer-use-for-guests.php if you are visiting NJIT.
The library also has a wireless network and has wireless LAN cards at the circulation desk. For more information on our wireless network check http://library1.njit.edu/announcements/2002-002.html.
