Collections: Circulating Collections

Books that may either be used outside of the library, or must be checked out to use in the library are known as the circulating collection. These books may be found in a number of locations throughout the library. Most of the circulating collection is located on the open shelves of the Architecture library.
There are two other collections in the Architecture library: reserves and videos. Items from each collection are located behind the circulation desk and may be found by searching the catalog. Professors place assign readings from library collection, personal copies of books not owned by the library, folders with photocopied materials, drawings, or special equipment on reserve in the Temporary Reserve Collection (ArchDesk) with restricted access. In the online catalog they are marked as (Arch Desk). They can be used in library only for two-hours periods. Reserve videos and DVDs can be loaned. In addition, some course materials are available online by going to http://archlib.njit.edu/borrowing/classmaterials.php
Please refer to the library's Borrowing of Materials policy to determine if you may check out items, how long you may keep checked out materials and much more.
